Merry Christmas!
Here are a few pictures of Christmas Day. Once we got to the tricycle, Anna was done opening presents and we were done taking pictures. But we all had a good time, and Anna loved opening up the extra presents (she got to open Zeke's for him).

Christmas Eve
Tonight we went to church for the Christmas Eve service. While was I taking care of Zeke during the candlelight singing, Arron said Anna behaved very well. The fact that our church did not burn down is proof enough for me.
We talked about opening up presents after church, but decided it might be too much for Anna. We opted for pictures of the kids instead. Oh yeah, that was a good thought. but it didn't go as well as I hoped. I'll let you decide...

Beth, you rock!
Blogdom is a funny place - you make friends with people you've never met, or just barely know. (The latter is the most fun, because you know that your new friends are really who they say they are.)
In the past 2 years, I've gotten back in touch with some friends from high school and college thanks to their blogs. One of these people is Beth, who I technically didn't even go to high school or college with as she was 4 years younger than me. But, because of how the LCMS and SPCH works, our families knew each other. Devonna was good friends with Cindy, whose sister Sandra married Beth's oldest brother Brent. Brad, brother number 2, was in my class in both high school and college.
So you'll find a link to Beth's blog listed on the right in this blog. Check it out if you haven't already - her kids are almost as cute as mine. :)
Our greatest surprise came today, as Anna and Zeke were napping, and Arron and I were near napping. The mailman dropped off a package for us - the return address was from the Pester family of Seward! Beth had sent out an outfit and cute, cute shoes for Zeke, and a book for Anna.
The book is a board book by Mo Willems, and Beth feared that Anna may already have it (she does), but Beth had this one autographed by Mo when he was in Seward recently! Anna's other copy isn't signed, so that makes the new copy even better! Thanks so much Beth!
Now when can you come over and paint my house? ;)
And because you're probably looking for it, here's the obligatory picture of the kids. Anna likes Zeke's fuzzy hair.

A visit from Lilly and Aedan!
Lilly and Aedan brought Sarah and Eric out to Indiana to meet baby Zeke and play with Anna. Since we managed to miss both Lilly and Aedan's birthday parties, we gave the kids their birthday presents during the visit. Now we have to find Christmas presents! ;)
A(nna) to Z(eke)
We've already been asked if we are going to rename this blog, start a new one, or do two. We don't know yet but we will keep you posted. For now here are some more pictures.

Anna's Birthday Weekend
We had a great time this weekend celebrating Anna's 2nd birthday. We went to the Dupage Children's Museum in Naperville, IL on Saturday and celebrated with presents and cake on Sunday.

Gudorf Campbell Dr
This past weekend was my class reunion. It was held over the annual Fall Festival weekend in town, so not only did we see plenty of people from my class, but there were all sorts of people from other classes and lots of friends from town hanging out in the beer garden. It was great.
A little back info - there's an auction that the high school holds every year as a fund raiser and one of the big things that is auctioned is the naming rights of the quad. My class rallied together and purchased the name and decided to name it for two classmates that have passed away since graduation. So, in honor of Victor Gudorf and Mike Campbell, the quad is known as Gudorf Campbell Dr for this school year. We were excited to see the sign in place.

Road Trip!
Once Anna and I found out Aunt Devonna was going to Michigan to visit Gramma and Grampa, we decided we better hop in the car to go visit. Anna did a great job with the car ride; the only trouble was when she pulled out her ponytail and had her hair hanging in her face - clearly it was not enough to worry about.
While we were there, we visited with Great-Gramma and Great Uncle Den at Great Uncle Den's house. Anna loved the fish tank and managed to keep from falling into the pond in his backyard. And, Anna discovered the joy of corn on the cob. Yum!
