A(nna) to Z(eke)

We've already been asked if we are going to rename this blog, start a new one, or do two. We don't know yet but we will keep you posted. For now here are some more pictures.

Life Has Changed. A Good Thing, For Now.

Oh, bebe!

Little Zeke
Anna welcomed her new baby brother into the world this morning. Ezekiel "Zeke" Rye was born at 7:30 AM. He weighs 9lbs and measures 20 inches. Anna just loves him. Little does she know that one day she will have to split half of the family fortune with him. But for now, all is right in the world.

Halloween

Halloween was a blast! As you can see Anna went as a Black Cat. Anna also acheived the goal of obtaining as much candy as possible. Of course Mommy and Daddy had to taste test it first to see if it was OK for consumption. Parenthood, what a drag!

Anna's Birthday Weekend

We had a great time this weekend celebrating Anna's 2nd birthday. We went to the Dupage Children's Museum in Naperville, IL on Saturday and celebrated with presents and cake on Sunday.

Gudorf Campbell Dr

This past weekend was my class reunion. It was held over the annual Fall Festival weekend in town, so not only did we see plenty of people from my class, but there were all sorts of people from other classes and lots of friends from town hanging out in the beer garden. It was great.

A little back info - there's an auction that the high school holds every year as a fund raiser and one of the big things that is auctioned is the naming rights of the quad. My class rallied together and purchased the name and decided to name it for two classmates that have passed away since graduation. So, in honor of Victor Gudorf and Mike Campbell, the quad is known as Gudorf Campbell Dr for this school year. We were excited to see the sign in place.

So here's some pictures from the weekend. Yes, I took pictures of the library - I had to for my pop. Also, I tried to hide my pregnant belly behind as many classmates as possible. For more, you can go here, here, here and here.

The stack room in the library. This seemed so much longer when I had to inventory it in the summers

Road Trip!

Once Anna and I found out Aunt Devonna was going to Michigan to visit Gramma and Grampa, we decided we better hop in the car to go visit. Anna did a great job with the car ride; the only trouble was when she pulled out her ponytail and had her hair hanging in her face - clearly it was not enough to worry about.

While we were there, we visited with Great-Gramma and Great Uncle Den at Great Uncle Den's house. Anna loved the fish tank and managed to keep from falling into the pond in his backyard. And, Anna discovered the joy of corn on the cob. Yum!

Num, num, num, num

Oh!!

She loved that fish, but he hated her. He wanted to chomp on her nose through the glass

We're doing what?!

Pigtails

They didn't even last until noon, but they sure were cute while they lasted!

A milded mannered little girl...
...who really hated the pigtails

More time with Bella and Euan

We met up the Schmids again, only this time they brought along a friend from Texas, Jen Bibler! We hadn't seen her since Bella's baptism.

Euan liked poising as a gangsta
