Falling Baby

We like to play "falling baby" with Anna. We hold her up above our heads, sorta like she's parachuting and call out "Oh no! Falling baby!!" We blow on Anna's hair like it's the wind, and flail her about. From the spectator's point of view, you see a smiling, giggly little girl. But from our perspective, you see this:

She loves it.

Easter Celebration

Anna's first Easter went off without a hitch. Arron and I were off for the entire week, so we had all sorts of fun planned. One day, Anna had lunch with Josie and Hugo. Here's Josie waiting for some grub:

Anna's new shoes arrived in the mail. She was so happy to see them.

We also dyed Easter eggs. Nosy Ollie tried to get in on the action.

Gramma and Grampa came out to visit. Anna played with them and posed for pictures.

Anna dressed all spiffy for Easter church, although she and I spent part of the service in Arron's classroom so Anna could take a nap.

That night, Anna had a good time gnawing on her sock.

Spring Break

Anna has been lucky enough to get a two week spring break. The first week was because the baby sitter had spring break herself; then came Arron's spring break (and a week's vacation for me).

We thought we'd try a highfalutin lifestyle and get a live-in nanny. We found one quickly and got the house all cleaned up for her arrival (Anna hung out with Elefant).

Cleaning the house wore Anna out pretty quickly, however.

The nanny arrived (with her chauffeur) and she and Anna got acquainted. Sadly, after just a week the nanny became too homesick and needed to be returned to her own home. Thanks for coming out for the week to help us, Gramma. :)

While we were returning Gramma to Michigan, we were able to see Grampa again and spend some time with Great Gramma and Great Uncle Den.

Other big news in our household is that with teeth comes the adventure of more foods. For the past few weeks, Anna's been sampling the infants' favorite - Rice Cereal. I'll let you judge for yourself as to whether or not she likes it.

It's Opening Day!

Go Cubs! This is the year they go all the way, Anna just knows it!
P.S. Never ones to disappoint, the Cubs lost 5-1. We weren't surprised.
